Big Brother 27-Recap for Tuesday, Sept. 16th

Good morning ya’ll, it was a loooong day yesterday. I usually hate that last week or two when the game gets really slow. This season, I’m looking forward to a couple of people leaving tomorrow night. The season finale of my brother’s Mud Madness show was last night so between that and only having 5 people left in the house on Friday, I’m looking forward to the break!

The day began with an argument between Vince and Morgan. (Shocker, I know) The two of them are in this loop where they argue off and on throughout the day & night, they make up, get a couple of hours, sleep, only to wake up and do it all over again. Yesterday morning probably got the most heated I’ve seen them. They were raising their voices to the point that Lauren and Kelley could hear them outside the hoh room.

At one point, Vince tried to shut the bathroom door on Morgan and she asked if they were done. He said no, he only wanted to brush his teeth but he was definitely frustrated. They continued to argue while Morgan took a shower and they argued over the shower door. No one who follows the feeds will be surprised to hear, they were arguing over things they’d resolved the night before. I think the thing that set it off though was Vince told Morgan, if she voted out Lauren, he wouldn’t be her friend outside the house.

Neither of them is the victim in this situation. (They both want to be tho) Morgan pushes harder than a woman trying to deliver a 20 pound baby but Vince brings it all on himself. He lies constantly instead of cutting it off before it goes too far. You know how people say everyone wants to be the hero of their own story? These two desperately want to be the victim in their own story and each others too.

After Morgan used the veto and got Lauren put on the block on Monday, she felt guilty about it later. (At least she said she did) She’d apologized to Vince for having tunnel vision, not listening to his point of view and saying she felt bad for putting him in a bad position. He pounced on this in order to vent some of his frustrations and continued to make her feel more guilty. By yesterday morning, they got up and were ready for another round. I think Morgan was willing to feel guilty as long as Vince didn’t agree that she should.

Lauren was waiting out by the chess table to speak to Vince and Kelley was waiting with her. I don’t know how much they could hear but they definitely heard the raised voices. Lauren assumed Morgan had already gone to work trying to get her evicted and started crying.

Kelley barged into the hoh room as Morgan was about to leave. She said something like “don’t leave that girl waiting” to Vince. This pissed off both Morgan and Vince. Morgan said they were wrapping it up was about to leave. Morgan pointed out she was standing there holding her things by the door, in sort of a snippy tone.

Vince wanted to make Morgan feel even more guilty but used the wrong strategy. As usual, he’s trying to have it both ways. He wants Morgan to want to keep Lauren because Lauren is good for Vince’s game. In order to make Morgan feel bad, he told her Lauren would put him on the block now. Morgan’s response wasn’t what he wanted because she said, if that’s the case, we need to go ahead and vote her out.

They’re both still lying to each other and that’s part of why these arguments last so long. They can’t come out and say what they really want to say so they argue in circles about details that don’t matter. Yesterday got heated enough, they started to tell a bit more truth though. When Morgan went round and round again about how Lauren voted to evict her, Vince finally told her both Keanu and Kelley did too. Morgan’s gotten a bit more honest too by repeatedly accusing Vince of secretly wanting to take Lauren to the final 2. (Yep, he does)

Lauren finally got her turn with Vince. She wanted to know if Morgan was trying to get her out and Vince said no. She told him Ava would never have done this to her but said she wanted them to “go far” in the game together. (She’s stopped saying she wants him to be her F2) She started talking about needing Kelley to stay again. She’s been telling Vince everything between them will be fine as long as he keeps Kelley. (Assuming Lauren’s off the block)

When Vince had his final conversation on Monday telling Lauren she’d have to go on the block, he also let her think Keanu was the target. Lauren desperately wants to keep Kelley and has told Ava, after this eviction, Lauren, Ava and Kelley will control the game if all 3 can stay. (Morgan’s pointed this out to Vince too) Vince made it sound to Lauren like Keanu was Ashley and Morgan’s target in order to make her feel safer going on the block.

Sorry, I’m backtracking a bit but bear with me. Shortly after the veto meeting and Lauren going on the block, Morgan came into the hoh room with Vince and Lauren. Morgan told Lauren she would vote to keep her because it’s what Vince wanted. She said it wasn’t anything personal and she didn’t want Lauren to leave. Next, she brought up how Kelley was targeting Vince. Morgan said anyone targeting Vince had to go and Kelley had to go this week. This was right after Vince told Lauren that Keanu was the target. (Haha)

Vince kind of laughed and asked Lauren if she was okay with that and of course, she said sure. (She’s not) He also laughed again and said this (meaning the three of them) was his ideal F3. (Later, Morgan would talk to herself, bring this up and say hell no)

Once alone, Lauren told Vince, if it ended in a tie and he didn’t vote to keep Kelley, she wouldn’t forgive him for putting her on the block. He gave her tips as to the best way to campaign to Morgan. (It would be easier if they both didn’t believe lies Vince has told them about the other) Lauren started whining and saying she didn’t want to campaign, she didn’t want to pack and she didn’t like playing the game anymore.

Keanu talked to himself and said he thinks Vince will go to the F2 with him if both Lauren and Morgan are gone. He went to work on Vince to make it happen. He knows Vince is close to both of them and it was fine for him to talk about taking Lauren out this week. It wasn’t realistic because Vince knows Keanu is working with Kelley and knows Kelley will target him. However, it was dumb for him to tell Vince that right after Lauren, Morgan needs to go next. If he doesn’t win the block buster, he has to have Morgan’s vote to stay this week. (I’m not surprised because this is how Keanu’s operated all season) He can’t keep his mouth shut and wait on anything. He also can’t ever see the game from someone else’s perspective. The plan he told Vince is to back door Morgan after this week. (I’m not sure what Keanu thinks a back door means since everyone will play in veto after this week)

After Lauren told both Ashley and Morgan she’d like to talk to them, she finally got around to it during the evening. She grabbed Ashley to campaign and wow, it painful to watch. Thru most of the conversation she didn’t even make eye contact with Ashley. She started by saying she’d “never had to do this before,” which isn’t great when you’re talking to someone who’s been on the block multiple times. She used generic phrases like “I think we could work together” and “maybe we could protect each other moving forward.” Ashley admitted she was kind of 50/50 on what she’d do. (Everyone’s already forgotten that Ashley and Morgan both promised Vince they’d keep Lauren so she knows she has to campaign) Ashley also said if Kelley loses the block buster, she’ll be leaving.

Keanu moved from Vince to campaigning to Ava. He told her he thought it was better for everyone if Lauren left this week. (Haha) Ava is NOT voting out Lauren and everyone knows she won’t. (except apparently Keanu) They moved on to talking about how the house changes people and Ava said she didn’t think she’d changed. She said she thought she’d conducted herself in a way that she could be proud of after the show.

Morgan broke out the M&M’s again in order to tell herself Lauren leaving was best for her game. (No shit) She laid down and started to rest when she got the “no napping” from the BB voice. I actually felt bad for her at the time because Morgan desperately need to sleep. I’m not saying Morgan isn’t a little half cracked when she’s well rested but it’s obvious she’s sleep deprived. She and Vince stay up all night but he sneaks naps during the day much more often than Morgan. On top of that, I think Ava sleeps half of every day and is allowed to do it. (I’m sure production knows Morgan is giving them the most to work with so her sleeps gonna have to wait) After being told she couldn’t nap, Morgan said “I guess I’ll just go pull Lauren.”

Since Lauren never came to talk to Morgan, Morgan just did it for her. This was another long an excruciating conversation. Lauren was the one campaigning but Morgan did most of the talking. Normally, I’d fault Lauren for not putting in the work but in this case, I can’t. No one can stop Morgan when she’s on a roll. Lauren was able to say she wanted to work with Morgan early on, but she knew Morgan was close to Mickey. She said she’d also heard things about Mickey and it caused Lauren to hold back. A normal person would’ve asked Lauren, what did you hear? Nope, Morgan just started rattling off a bunch of other stuff.

Lauren almost told Morgan about the plan to trick her during Keanu’s hoh. (This was when Keanu and Vince were trying to get Morgan to use the veto on Vince, promising to put Lauren up, but then Keanu would actually put Ashley up) Now, I don’t know if Lauren would have spilled the whole thing and included Vince in it. I doubt it because she might need Vince to break a tie this week. We’ll never know because Morgan was so focused on what she wanted to say, I think it kind of went over her head. I do fault Lauren for not sticking with this point more and making it clear. If Lauren wins the block buster, she wants them to keep Kelley. This would be fantastic info to give Morgan to make her want to vote out Keanu.

Like Keanu, Morgan has no self awareness. One of the things she said to Lauren was “everyone knows Vince and I are each other’s number one, but you’re not very far behind.” (Haha) Most of the conversation doesn’t matter and it didn’t change anything. Throughout the conversation, Lauren was gradually going from sitting to a laying position. I think Morgan simply exhausted Lauren. She doesn’t have the stamina for these multi hour long convos like Vince. She may have heard more game talk in those two hours than she has all season combined. Morgan did eventually tell Lauren she’s planning on keeping from this week.

There were a few more conversations during the evening:
Vince and Ashley and later, with Morgan talked about their concerns over how hard Lauren’s fighting to keep Kelley in the game. Keanu also talked to Vince about wanting Morgan to leave even more than Lauren. Lauren talked to Kelley about her needing to do a better job of pretending to be good with Vince. Ava told Vince, if he didn’t break a tie to keep Lauren, he’d lose her jury vote.

Ava also talked to Vince about her thinking no one would want to take her to the F2. (She took a break from saying Rachel was a bitch and campaigning for AFP) She said she thinks a lot of people may want to take Ashley because she’d be easy to beat. (It’s laughably not even close how much more Ashley’s done in this game than Ava)

Ava’s talked to several people and started planting seeds about wanting Ashley gone next. The pecking order for Ava, Lauren and Kelley has been Morgan, Keanu and then Ashley. (Vince may get tossed in there for Ava and Kelley tho) Now, Ava’s saying she thinks Ashley should go before any of the others. This actually kind of makes sense for Ava. I think she sees herself and Ashley in about the same spot in the game. If Ashley’s gone, that spot solely belongs to Ava.

I can’t believe we’re still doing the block buster this late in the season. It’s stupid but if nothing else, we still have no idea who’s leaving tomorrow. Lauren has most of the house convinced tomorrow won’t be a double eviction. She thinks they’ll have another elimination round (the way Rachel left) instead. For now, here’s what I see for the players. (Yes, they’re very bad players but technically, they’re still players)

Vince
He thinks he ruined his game this week by putting Lauren on the block. (Wonder if he’d feel better if he knew he’d probably already lost the game before this week even happened??) I keep saying this but Vince didn’t hurt his game by putting Lauren on the block. He hurt his game by allowing all the conversations about putting Lauren on the block to ever happen. He hurt his game by pitting Lauren and Morgan against each other all season instead of bringing them together, at least a little bit. He hurt his game by crying all the time and saying he was being manipulated instead of owning his moves. A person can maybe get away with that maybe once during the season to get themselves out of a tricky spot. It just can’t be the theme of your game all season long.

Because the damage is done at this point, I actually think Morgan’s right. I think he needs to go ahead and try to take Lauren out. From the moment he ever let Lauren know he was considering putting her up, it was over. It’s not even about whether or not she targets him after this week. His biggest fear is that Morgan will be viewed as controlling both his hoh’s and its a valid fear. Taking out Lauren wasn’t a good game move but he’s backed himself into a corner so he doesn’t have a good move left for the week. He needs to get on board with Ashley, Morgan and Keanu to target Lauren and spin it. He’d have to tell the jury Lauren was a game piece he used until it was time to let her go. She won comps for him, she used a veto on him but he saw her getting too close to Ava and Kelley. He could say he needed to break them up and she was the biggest comp threat of the 3. After that, he can let Keanu and Morgan target each other for him. He could maybe go to the F3 with whichever one is left plus Ava, Ashley or Kelley. Maybe he could even luck out and somehow have Keanu and Morgan both be taken out. He could end up in a F3 with some combo of Kelley, Ashley and Ava. Is this a great plan? No, becauae all 3 of them would target him and he’d have to win a lot of end game comps to stay. This is where he’s put himself tho.

Lauren
She’s disappointed she doesn’t get to say she was never nominated anymore. I think she’s sincere about wanting a F3 with Kelley and Ava but I don’t fully trust it. If Keanu leaves and Kelley stays, I could see her making up with Vince and keeping their F2. Normally I’d think this was dumb, but Vince really does want to go to the end with Lauren.

Lauren’s also afraid she’ll look dumb if she doesn’t retaliate against Vince. I could see her putting him on the block for payback but not wanting him to go. Since almost everyone else wants him gone, I can see him being voted out anyway. She holds all the information she needs to not only stay this week, but to possibly turn Morgan against Vince. (Yes, I know they’d probably just have a 10 hour marathon convo and make up but ironically, if anyone could do it, it’s Lauren) She could still target Morgan next week but she needs to temporarily get her on her side. If she told Morgan about the trick Keanu and Vince were trying to play on her during Keanu’s hoh, all hell would break loose in that house.

Ava
Do y’all remember when I was a big Ava fan? It’s okay, let me have it in the comments, I deserve it. (Haha) In my defense, I never thought she was that good at the game. She just gave me really great screenshots. I think I hung on to liking Ava longer than I normally would have because it’s sort of bled into my personal life. I have a 13 year old granddaughter and we’ve replaced using emojis with screenshots of Ava to text each other all season. For every emoji emotion you want to convey in a text, I promise you, there’s an Ava screenshot that will do the job!

Like the rest, Ava’s not good at the game, but she does wake up for a few hours every day and play it. She made a f2 with Ashley and almost immediately after started trying to make her a target. She was at least smart enough to see, they’re both fighting for the same F3 spot. Everyone else in the game sees both Ava and Ashley as good choices to be the 3rd who probably won’t win those last comps. There’s a fear of the jury voting for both of them but if they can’t win the comps, they’d be easy to take out at 3 so they wouldn’t get to the F2. I’m not saying they couldn’t win, I’m just saying this is how most of the people left view them. I’m also not saying Ashley or Ava are guaranteed to win the game if they did make it to the F2 either.

Kelley
If she wins this game, I may actually be done with the show and I’ve never said that before. That’s the feeling I have one minute and then the next, I’ll start thinking, maybe it’s what the season deserves. Keanu is up there as one of the worst players that’s ever played this game but Kelley has him beat. Keanu, at least wants to play the game. He’s just really bad at it. I actually think Kelley may be the worst player in the history of the show.

She’s targeting Morgan and Vince and honestly, that’s really all there is to talk about as far as her game. I guess she’s still kind of working with Keanu and thinks she has at 3 with Lauren and Ava. Unfortunately, she’s expendable to both of them. The only reason Lauren’s fighting hard for Kelley to stay is because she knows she needs a number.

Ashley
A couple of days ago, she was actually the best positioned person in the game. If Ava’s successful in getting her targeted, I can’t say that anymore. If Ava isn’t successful, she has Morgan and Keanu both wanting to keep her. She’s going to have to win a comp and make a move that’s visible in order to get any game respect. She’s done a lot behind the scenes this season, but this is not a cast that’s going to recognize it. The only way she’ll shake the perception that she’s been carried through the game is by winning an hoh and taking out either Keanu or Vince in my opinion.

Her biggest blind spot is still Ava. She’s recognized she can’t go to the end with Morgan and she’s not dumb enough to want Vince or Keanu there either. She knows her position and most of them can’t say the same. However, she still thinks she has Ava being more loyal to her than she would be to Lauren. That’s absolutely not true.

Keanu
I’ve already mentioned (many times) how bad Keanu is at playing the game. He’s not just bad, he’s bad even for this cast! I know a lot of people on this site and other places online are rooting for Keanu. Please leave me some comments and explain to me why because I just don’t get it. (I’m not judging it, I’m just confused by it so help a girl out) I don’t dislike the guy but for starters, he’s very arrogant. He’s told almost everyone that no one can beat him. I don’t think I’ve heard him ask a game question all season. Instead, he tells everyone what they need to do, when they need to do it and ignores anything that proves he’s wrong.

He talks to everyone like they’re stupid and has 0 social game. If not for the block buster, Keanu would’ve been evicted many times over. I just can’t root for someone who can only win the game through competitions and that’s the only way he’ll get there. I’ve also already mentioned his end game plans. He’s hoping to keep Kelley around because she’s the one person who may not target him. ( He actually considered throwing the block buster comp to Kelley) He wants both Lauren and Morgan out and thinks that will force Vince to take him to the f2. He wants that third spot to be either Ava or Ashley.

Morgan
I said the other day, if Morgan managed to get Lauren on the block, I had to root for her. It was messy as hell but she got it done. Morgan seen in the house as the front runner to win the game and I would have to agree. That’s also made her the biggest target in the house and I’ll be shocked if she survives the double eviction. She’s recognized Lauren is who needs to go this week for her game but she also doesn’t want to go against Vince. That means, we’ll have more brow beating arguments today and tonight, trying to talk him into it. She could decide to let it go and go ahead and take out Kelley or Keanu but I’m guessing no.

In a way, she can’t really target the wrong person this week because she needs Lauren, Keanu and Kelley all gone. Vince knows she has a winning argument in a f2 and Keanu even pointed it out to him. Keanu said all Morgan needs to say is she didn’t need to win any hoh’s because she controlled Vince’s. (I’m pointing this out because if Lauren leaves, I still don’t think Vince will want to go to the end with Morgan) She also controlled Mickey’s hoh and temporarily got Keanu to stop targeting her, in case she didn’t win the veto on his hoh. When Rachel put her otb, she put enough work in to turn Rachel back around on her and managed to help form the Judge’s alliance. It basically forced Vince to be loyal to people he didn’t even want to work with and she regained Rachel’s loyalty back too.

Even with her chaotic approach, she’s by far the best player in the house. No, that isn’t saying much because she’s not a good player either. She spent half the game trying to prevent her and Vince from being put on the block together. She’s also told everyone in the house she and Vince are each other’s number ones. She’s basically spent weeks dog walking Vince, all while he thinks he’s playing her. If Keanu wins the block buster, she needs to just go ahead and finish the job. Keanu, Ashley and Morgan need to vote Lauren out.
Yhis isMorgan diving onto the bed. I’d give it a solid 7:

Morgan isn’t the only one who has the problem of needing multiple people out immediately. Lauren, Vince, Keanu and to a lesser degree Kelley, al have the same problem. There’s just too many people targeting all of them at the same time. No matter who leaves first tomorrow, Ava and Ashley just need to duck, let the others fight it out and hope they can make it through the night.

I had some funny tweets and quotes to post but per my usual, this is way too long. Maybe I’ll have time to do an afternoon post tomorrow while the feeds are down. Have a great Wednesday!
