Good evening, everyone! I’m late with my post, but I watched the CBS episode and then got caught watching Hollywood Squares, then spent an hour having ChatGPT ask us trivia questions. Quite the journey.

Alright, so let’s immediately address the elephant in the room. I’ve spoken about this in my feed updates, but I don’t think so much in my posts. There is no secret that Rylie and Katherine have an interesting relationship. Some would say it’s ‘strong’ (some being Rylie’s mother), while others would probably use a different term.

I’m going to try not to express any actual feelings as it’s not really my place, plus I’d like to avoid any lawsuits, so I’ll stick with the facts. The facts are that Rylie and Katherine are in a showmance. He absolutely is head over heels for her and she is clearly into him as well but has a tougher time showing it. She admitted as much during tonight’s episode.

Fans have been upset because Rylie appears to be more on the clingy side of the spectrum, as he is often around her and does seem a bit demanding at times. Although that’s leaning more toward opinion, and I’ll steer it back.

Throughout the Big Brother social media world, there have been reports of Katherine’s family (her father and stepmother) reaching out to CBS over their concerns about how he may be speaking to her or any other issue about the pair. It has long been a rumor; however, it appears as of now, her step-mother is going around social media and re-posting her thoughts:

So it appears they have confirmed the rumor that they have contacted CBS, but it’s clear they cannot speak much of the conversation other than that they are pleased with how it has been going. I actually thought about reaching out to speak to her, but figured she would be swamped with requests, and sure enough, I was correct. Although it would be flattering to get an exclusive (hint, hint), I’m sure the statement will be on other places like TMZ and such.

Will he be removed?

As far as my take on whether or not CBS will actually get involved, I will be surprised if it’s anything noticeable. Despite being on the block with the chance to go home tomorrow, I don’t expect them to rig any games against him, nor do I think they’ll force people to vote him out. In fact, I know they won’t because they can get in serious legal trouble with the show likely being terminated and its reputation tarnished forever – likely around the world.

47 U.S. Code § 509 makes it literally illegal for them to rig the blockbuster competition against Rylie or tell the houseguests how to vote (it’s also the reason why ‘Helen was pushed’ will always be a fun myth). Of course, they absolutely have the legal right to kick a houseguest out. They’ve done it before. But, I am pretty sure the person has to actually break the rules, otherwise, that person can seriously sue CBS.

Regardless of how people feel about it, even if Rylie was mean to Katherine, that’s not a bootable offense. Obviously, if she feels threatened, or he actually does do anything like that, they can and will boot him, but it’s clear he has not crossed any legal bounds right now.

What they CAN do

What I would expect CBS to do would be to strongly hint at how his relationship may be appearing to the outside world. Likely to do the same to Katherine. In addition, they may start ‘asking about it’ to other houseguests to stir the pot. And last but not least, they will likely begin to phase them out of the feeds and show as much as they can.

What are your thoughts on the whole situation?
