Because the Big Brother fan base can be extremely toxic at times, it is absolutely no surprise that fans decided to step up their hatred toward one of the most memorable cast members in recent memory.

Now, if you have missed it, Angela won HoH in week 1, and during her conversations with people, she sat Matt down to chat. During the conversation, Matt said a very normal thing which was (paraphrased) ‘if you target me, I’ll target you’. Now, it’s quite common that the first HoH of the season usually has an extremely rough time with it. Famously, Frenchie (bb23) sabotaged his game after losing his mind from his power trip with the first HoH.

Think of it, you are sitting in a hotel all alone for a week+, get thrown into a house that you know will be on national TV. You’re a star! On top of that, you won the first HoH and now the entire house is pretending to be your best friend so you feel like the king of the stars. That’s generally called ‘HOHitis’, but it’s always more intense during week 1 for those reasons.

That brings us back to Angela who took Matt’s words as a threat. I mean it was a threat, but it was a game threat. However, she took it as a personal threat and sat on it for a few days with it running through her head. One morning, she woke up and chose violence and decided to come down and lose it on Matt. We all saw it, she called him crazy eyes, they mentioned his mother, and all types of craziness (it was quite entertaining, actually).

Matt did a masterful job at playing the victim over it and gained a TON of sympathy, especially considering he was the first evicted. I’m not going to lie, I also felt bad for him. I think he seemed like a good guy and probably got a raw deal for doing a regular game move. I also very much disagree with Angela over the implication that he aggressively threatened her. As a guy, that’s one of the things we never want to hear. No guy likes being known as ‘aggressive’ toward a woman, so to be called that on national TV is big.

However, fans have decided to contact Angela’s Real Estate company trying to get her fired which is NOT cool at all. The things she did say did not remotely warrant that type of behavior, but fortunately, according to TMZ, her company did remove her profile from their website, but only to slow the harassment they have been receiving. They stand by her which is very refreshing to see. They said they know she’s playing the role of a ‘villain’ this season, but it’s always her dream to be on the show and I am very pleased to see her company recognized this.

So I give a huge shout-out to her boss for not caving to the pressure. In no way, shape, or form did Angela deserve to be targeted outside of the game, so if anyone from her company reads this, know there are many who appreciate her villain role and very much appreciate them for not firing her.
