Good morning, we’re entering week 3 and have a new hoh. (more on that below) So far, I don’t mind having the AI comp aired on the live show instead of the hoh comp. Half the time, we didn’t get the HOH comp on the live show anyway. I hope the 3rd nominee thing doesn’t go too far into the season tho. (Is it possible, this is the first twist I haven’t spent at least 3 paragraphs complaining about?) It has some problems, like slowing down game activity midweek but shockingly for me, I don’t hate it.

Tucker pulled out the win last night, won the AI comp and took himself off the block. I know the house loves him but i’m wondering if he’s going to become a target soon. Most hg’s didn’t see the comp so all they heard was a physically strong guy is also good at puzzles.

Honestly, there wasn’t a ton of puzzle to this one. You basically just had to match up the shape on the back of the puzzle pieces. The pieces looked to be heavy and Tucker could take them 2 at a time. I don’t know if that helped create the blowout we saw last night because it wasn’t even close! In Tucker’s own words “I love puzzles baby!”

I’ve wanted to give production some credit for the comps so far this season. 7 different people have already won a comp and if you count MJ and Quinns powers, it’s 9 people. I think it makes the game so much more interesting. I’ve held off giving them too much praise because i’m skeptical on whether or not the equitable comps are going to last. (Im a natural skeptic so I’ve been surprised they’ve kept it up this long) I’ll just say good job for now and we’ll see where it goes from here.

Julie seemed annoyed the noms weren’t campaigning after the comp. I get it. They’re going for that double eviction energy but the situation’s different. The campaigning’s already happened. Plus, If Lisa or Angela grabbed one person, took them into another room for all of one minute, what do you think’s gonna happen while they’re gone? Everyone left in the living room can just say “hey let’s vote so and so out” when they’re not in the room.

I’ll at least give it to Angela that she did campaign this week. She also campaigned in the one minute she had after the AI comp. (Like thats time to do anything) Whether you’re glad Lisa went or wish it had been Angela, we still got to see a surprise.

Both Angela and Lisa were shocked at the vote.

Lisa couldn’t believe the other hg’s didn’t use the eviction to “send a message” with the vote. This was the recruit jumping out in Lisa. Most of them aren’t there to do PSA’s. They’re trying to win 750k. (Except MJ and Kenney, they’ve said “it’s not worth it”)

If there’s one thing we can count on, it’s Angela not being able to read a room. This was some of the expressions people had right after Lisa left. (You know, the time the hg’s use to watch a picture go gray and give them a moment of silence or whatever) Instead, Angela gave an Oscar type ‘thank you’ speech. Do you think she believes she convinced people to keep her the same way she thinks she convinced them to evict Matt? (Haha)

There wasn’t much to recap for Wednesday and Thursday. It’s early in the season but I think having 3 noms and not knowing who the last 2 on the block will be has alot to do with it. I don’t see any scrambling or vote flipping going on until the 3rd nom/AI comp ends.

Things are forming at a slower pace so far this season. Alliances have formed but most arn’t real. Even the Pentagon has already crumbled. It was never going to work for Quinn and Brooklyn since they knew they were added to it last. Chelsie doesn’t trust Cam very much anymore either. She even told Cedric not to throw the hoh comp and said Cam “wasn’t really with them.”

I found the above image on Twitter and think someone accidentally gave Angela her nickname. If she’s not crying or over the top happy to be there, she’s definitely angry so it fits.

T’kor and Kimo have been working on their new alliance they want with Tucker, Quinn, Rubina and maybe 1 more person. The problem with those two has been the way they’re going about it. They’re doing a lot of talking and planning but they keep waiting for the right time to form the alliance. (It’s not just them tho) They need to be careful they don’t way too long.

Leading up to Thursday, Kimo tried to get Quinn to tell the alliance about his power. He said they wouldn’t be mad but instead, would be happy he had it. Quinn didn’t seem to agree. I’m sure this was a disappointment for Kimo since he’s already confirmed to Tucker that Quinn has it.

Tucker told Rubina he knew who had the second power and said it wasn’t Lisa. He hadn’t told her yet it was Quinn but he may have told her by now. He also hinted at it to Chelsie.

Angela awkwardly campaigned to everyone on Wednesday and Thursday. I don’t fault her for thinking she was being evicted because most of the house treated her the way they treat the person who’s leaving.

Last week, there was a celebration when the guys got off have nots. This week, it was a bit different. They were in the kitchen trying to whisper cause they were finally able to celebrate and eat. The feeds were down for it (shocker) but based on conversations, Kenny yelled at them for making noise while he was trying to sleep. That was the reason for the whisper celebration. (He may be a “get off my lawn” guy)

The next morning, we saw Kenney reading the BB rulebook. Maybe it was out of boredom, maybe he was trying to see if he could quit and still get his stipend money or maybe he was seeing if there was some kind of bedtime he could get production to enforce.

The feeds were down alot on Thursday so here’s a few random things.

Leah helping Quinn get ready for the live show:

There was also a convo in the hoh room with Cedric I found interesting. Cedric, Leah and Chelsie were watching the monitor and talking about the cameras in the house. Cedric brought up how they were told by production not to look directly into the cameras and talk to the viewers. He said they were told the fans hated it when they did that and said it “even says it in the packet.” (This is some bull shit) I remember a conversation similar to this last season too. I don’t know why they do this or why they would care. I’m glad some of them are either ignoring it or never read it! We actually have quite a few camera talkers so far this season.

Last night, before the hoh comp, MJ complained to the cameras that she didn’t want to sleep in her bed. She said it was too close to Angela. Apparently, both Angela and Kenney snore.

Leah iced her face because she fell and hit her chin or something the night before. I guess it may still hurt but I’m also skeptical at this point. I think it’s equally as likely she had to go five minutes without the conversation being about Leah and wanted some attention. There’s a few things that I really like about Leah so I’m like disappointed in like her lack of like game play so far.

Joseph, Chelsie and Cedric had planned on volunteering to be have nots. Kenney said if he was a have not, he’d just self evict. (Yay us! We get to keep Kenney because they announced there would be no have-nots this week)

Finally, they played the hoh comp and Cedric won it. It sounded like some kind of balancing thing.

Unlike Chelsie, Cedric planned on doing one on ones with everyone. MJ got herself in there with him and basically gave a similar pitch to the one she gave Chelsie. (I have the power, will save you with it next week, etc.) She walked away feeling safe for the week and with one of Cedrics white claws. She isn’t very good at the game so far but I like that she’s trying. (Neither she nor Leah fooled Chelsie last week at all)

She tried to lie about her power the way she did when she told Tucker about it. (Chelsie’s already corrected Tucker and told him America chooses the replacement) Tucker filled Cedric in on the details and said MJ lied to him. Tucker encouraged him to go ahead and put her up and flush out the power. (Of course he did. He volunteered to go on the block against someone he thought had a power!) He’s another one who isn’t great at the game but I like how much effort he’s putting into it.

I know some people were annoyed with Chelsie and will be with Cedric for not wanting to put MJ up. I think the only way an HOH should want to make her use it would be someone who didn’t really have any allies. They have absolutely no way of knowing who the replacement nom would be. The only way I’d use it would be if my target was Leah. In that case, you’d put both MJ and Leah up, MJ would use it to save herself and you’d hope Leah didn’t win the veto. That’s it. Otherwise, I’d just let MJ have her 4 weeks of safety and move on. Just try to stay on her good side the way Chelsie is, in case she wins an hoh.

There is one thing I think is weird about MJ and her power. Maybe i’m wrong, but I swear I remember in BB19, Jessica being told to tell the truth about her power. She had a power and lied about what it did. I thought she got called into the DR and told she had to go back to everyone and correct what she’d told people. Basically, you could keep your power a secret if you wanted. However, if you chose to tell people about it, you had to tell the truth about it. (I may have to look back and see if I’m remembering it wrong) Anyway, I’d think this would fall under ‘using production as a strategy’ which they’re not allowed to do.

Leah suggested Cam go up as a pawn to Cedric. She didn’t actually name him. Instead, she said there was someone who volunteered last week in front of her that didn’t go up. She told Cedric, maybe she could get them to volunteer again. Later, Cam found out about it but apparently, it didn’t bother him very much:

Cedric met with Kenney. He said he was ready to go home and to put him up. He also told Cedric about being a cop and Cedric told him about having been in the Marines.

Cedric was still debating but it sounds like he plans to put up Kenney, Angela and wanted Joseph to volunteer to be a pawn.

Unfortunately for Cedric, he was already telling people this plan before he’d spoken to Joseph. Once they had their talk, Joseph said hell to the no! (Thank you Joe!!)

They’re in the Collective alliance together which I think is only real to Joseph at this point. Since Joseph didn’t want to do it, Cedric said maybe he’d need to use Rubina. He’s hoping someone from the Collective will volunteer.

During Cedric’s talk with T’kor, Cedric asked if there was anyone she didn’t want on the block. The person she named was Rubina so this could get interesting.

Leah was suggested by several people but Cedric doesn’t want to do it. He thinks MJ will take her off the block and in my opinion, she probably would. (Ya, ya, I know. She didn’t use it on Matt. That was week 1. This is week 3) It’s like I said earlier, he could do Leah, but if he does, he also needs to put up MJ.

Fear of MJ’s power isn’t the only reason tho. Cedric’s tight with Cam and Cam’s into Leah. Cam and Cedric also had a convo wonderingwhy Quinn hadn’t told them about the power but other people seem to know. (Oopsie!)

This is what I mentioned being concerned about the other day. Once Quinn found out it was being talked about, he needed to just rip off the band-aid, at least to the people who think they’re in an alliance with him. (Okay, I get it. He’s in an alliance with everyone in the house except Kenny and maybe MJ??)

Tucker hadn’t asked Quinn directly about it yet but Tucker HAS told Cedric and Joseph already. I’d be surprised if he hasn’t already told Chelsie and Rubina when the feeds were off.

Brooklyn found out Kenney was saying there’s an all girls alliance and said Brooklyn is the head of it. This was discussed and so was getting rid of Kenney. (Don’t worry, Angela’s still a target too) There was also some talk about bringing Quinn into the girl’s alliance. (Of course there was because what Quinn definitely needs is another alliance!)

Quinn’s probably safe this week because Cedric made a F2 with him. Cedric’s probably gonna figure out it’s not real to Quinn tho since he wasn’t told about his power. Cedric doesn’t want to put up Leah because of Cam. He also doesn’t want to do Rubina because of T’kor. This supposed “easy” hoh week could get messy fast.

Joseph and Kimo:

I’m curious to see if and when Chelsie talks to him again. The problem is, I don’t know if Cedric is actually closer to Cam or Chelsie. If he decides to take someone else’s advice, I don’t know whose it will be. Another problem with nominations is that almost everyone is kind of working with almost everyone. There aren’t sides so it’s still very muddy and overlapping.

T’kor and Kimo:

Maybe we’ll get lucky and it won’t end up being such a cut and dry (Angela or Kenney) week after all! No matter what happens, I’m guessing we’ll have another week of this:

Check back later to see who Cedric puts on the block and have a great weekend!
