Good morning everyone, We’re past the first BB weekend and boy, it was a doozie! We can also check off the list the BB swimsuit photo shoot, the first REAL episode, the first kitchen rivalry, a talent show and the first meltdown as they have all already happened. Not bad for still being in week 1. We also have more clarity on MJ and Quinn’s powers.

Quinn is a camera talker:

MJ explained to Matt and Leah on the feeds what she had and that it was good for 4 weeks, but we had no explanation on Quinns until the episode last night. For any one still catching up, MJ has a special veto. It can be used at the ceremony after the HOH makes their noms/renoms and it’s good for 4 weeks. She can pull someone off the block and America’s vote will make the replacement nom. Quinn has an HOH power that allows him to secretly take over the HOH. We’re not sure how it works yet but he can also spread rumors and stir up a bit of chaos if he wants. It’s also good for 4 weeks. I believe only Matt and Leah know about MJ’s and Quinn has apparently only told Angela. (I bet he’s regretting that decision)

Angela resting up for another round or two:

Angela and Quinn made a final 2 but I halfway think Angela has forgotten about it. BB guns:

BB20 comes to mind back when Rachel listened to Angela’s goodbye message and said “what’s wrong with Angela?” New season, new Angela and there’s alot going on with this Angela. BB23 also comes to mind because it’s been similar to a Frenchie week 1 HOH. Stress, paranoia and sleep deprivation can be wild! Add to the mix a self-proclaimed “people pleaser” and the result is the mess we saw this weekend.

Yes I know this has already been shown but I think it’s hilarious:

I’m sure Angela being a people pleaser was part of it, just not all of it. I think she also wanted to get along with the entire house and wanted the entire house to bond with her. That’s just not possible when you have to nominate three people for eviction week 1. She should’ve just talked to her three nominees PRIOR to putting them up, explained why she had to pick someone and said how she hated to do it and so on. After that, be nice to them but NOT try to be their best friend.

This was a couple of days prior to Angela’s stairway meltdown. She was already mimicking Matts expressions:

It also hasn’t helped that she changes her mind every time she has a new conversation with someone. (Frenchie) On top of that, she comes up with entire scenarios in her head, simply by watching the monitor in the HOH room. (more on that later)

Matt meditating before another round with Angela:

Angela’s Saturday morning meltdown actually didn’t hurt her too much at first. It seemed most of the house believed her and was still rocking with her. Matt’s retelling of their convo basically confirmed she was truthful too. (for the most part) Last nights episode gave it more clarity. My takaway: Matt DID threaten Angela and his constant talking COULD come off as aggressive BUT he threatened her in a game related way. He didn’t say he was going to make her life miserable or turn the entire house against her. He simply told her if she put him OTB, he’d have 2 chances to take himself off, he WOULD do it and he’d retaliate. It was pretty stupid on his part to threaten the HOH before noms had even been made. It was also crazy of her to blow it way out of proportion.

Where Angela really got herself into trouble was continuing her paranoia with the people she’s been working with. She was getting sympathy from her allies after telling them about that first conversation with Matt. Unfortunately for her, she started thinking everyone who spoke to her was lying to her.

Quinn, Cam, Cedric, Chelsie and maybe Joseph are a bit leary now. They’re still working with her on the surface but they’ve already began shifting away from Angela. (I think Tucker may still be with her, for now)

As for everyone else:

Leah has pulled away from MJ and Matt. They were starting to look too much like a trio and I think she realized it. She spent the weekend mingling with the rest of the house alot more.

Leah, Quinn and Lisa made moon water together. They basically “charged” containers of water overnight by using the full moon. (Who the hell knows??) She also gave Cedric some tips on pick up lines with women.

Lisa, who won the veto, was very proud of it. Honestly, she seemed as intense as Angela the day she was put on the block. She was definitely caught off guard by it and let everyone know it. She seemed a bit in La La Land in the beginning, but at least it got her to jump into the game. She campaigned to everyone in house, including Cedric and Chelsie, who can’t vote this week.

Lisa’s nomination led to another crazy Angela moment (In my opinion) the day she was nominated. Angela thought she was going to tear up, tell Lisa how sorry she was and everything was going to be okay. Unfortunately for Angela, Lisa wasn’t having it. Lisa quickly let Angela know that it was absolutely NOT okay. (I’m always annoyed by HOH’s who cry and think they have it worse than the people otb because they had to make the noms) Look, trying to win the HOH is optional and making noms comes with it so suck it up!

Tucker is hilarious and his dislike of Lisa is entertaining. I knew he had issues with her being bossy in the kitchen, at least according to him. Last nights episode gave it even more context. She really just jumped up and tried to steal his moment during introductions. Haha I find this situation even funnier because Lisa doesn’t seem to be aware that Tucker doesn’t like her. So far, he just absorbs her comments and vents to others later but I thought he was going to lose it when she asked if he knew the difference between a cucumber and a zucchini. Yesterday, He took the knives back into the storage room to give back to production. I don’t think Lisa was finished with them and Tucker just wanted to annoy her. He’s also saying he wants to try to make her a have not next week.

Matt cried after Angela’s blow up this weekend and maybe he really was upset. Honestly, I would be if someone spent almost ten minutes giving a speech that was entirely directed at me and about me. However, he definitely tried to use the situation to his advantage. (He should)

The thing about his mom started to get old quickly for me though. Yes, Angela DID say his mom would think he was a brat after watching him on the show. No, Angela did not say anything about his mom and Matt brought up his mom first.

Back when Matt still wore clothes:

I still don’t think Matt has any idea that the hours and hours he spent holding meetings in the storage room is what got him on Angela’s radar. It’s obvious these two didn’t hit it off initially, but based on Angela’s meetings with people, she was telling the truth about her nominations. She really didn’t plan on putting him up this week. (I don’t think it’s because she liked him. I think she believed him when he said he was making enough connections to have the votes to stay) Chelsie is who encouraged her to go ahead and do it and even then, she didn’t.

Quinn, although still working with Angela, is making connections all over the house. He’s forming other alliances and leaving her out of it. (I think the most real thing he has going is with Cam, Cedric, Cam and Brooklyn) He’s also spent quite a bit of time with Leah though too.

This is when Angela caused Cedric to tear up. She was going off about something and he briefly thought she was talking about him. (This house is an emotional wreck):

Yesterday morning, Angela decided Lisa was going to be her new bff, whether Lisa wanted to be or not. (Angela’s gotten it into her head that Lisa must have a power. It also seems like she may have forgotten Quinn told her he had one) Lisa advised her to apologize to Matt for the mom and shomance comments. She gave Angela a ‘girl power’ pep talk and said they’d start over…slowly.

Angela practically forcing a hug on to Lisa was hilarious:

Angela had her long talk with Matt, which they had in the bathroom so they would semi have witnesses. That’s because they couldn’t get anyone to volunteer to sit in the room with them. Angela made her apology and Matt guilt tripped the shit out of her for what felt like 2 days. I’m not going to recap all of that, but needless to say, it involved his mom’s entire life story.

Tucker telling Angela she should still put up Matt:

They sort of agreed Matt wouldn’t need to go up as a replacement if he could get someone to volunteer to be a pawn. Matt suggested T’Kor would make a good pawn. When the convo ended, Angela was patting herself on the back for her great acting skills. (This is the point where I realized, I had no idea what she was going to do) At first I thought Matt was going up and she had just lied through the entire conversation. She began talking to the cameras and apologizing to Kenney’s family for needing to send him home this week.

Leah at the talent show:

This is where it got a bit more confusing. Stick with me here because it doesn’t make any sense. While watching the tv monitor, Angela thought she saw Matt and T’kor go into the same room. (They went the same direction but Angela couldn’t even tell they went into the same room. She just decided they did) For Angela, this meant Matt had gone to talk to T’Kor about being a pawn. Next, she saw Cam go the direction T’kor had gone. For Angela, this meant Cam had also gone to convince T’kor to be a pawn. (No, I don’t know how Cam became involved) Shortly after Cam went to the hoh room, just to check on Angela. He said he hadn’t really talked to her since her meltdown on the stairs. Right after that and by pure coincidence, T’kor came to see Angela. Angela and T’kor made random chit chat. After Angela was alone again, she decided Cam must have talked T’kor into being a pawn. She also assumed T’kor was fine with it because she didn’t bring it up when they spoke. (??????) Hell if I know but that’s what happened.

Tucker, MJ and Matt got into a convo at the pool. Admittedly, I couldn’t hear this very well because MJ and Matt weren’t wearing mics. Matt seems to think he convinced Tucker to go up as a pawn. Tucker was annoyed because he thought Matt was trying to convince him to go up as a pawn. (Tucker already doesn’t like Matt. He’s been vocal about the fact that Matt stood up in an ‘aggressive stance’ when Angela came towards him the other day)

When Tucker talked to Angela, he said she needed to make Matt the renom and also said, they had the votes to get rid of him. Tucker also said Lisa needed to go soon too. (Haha)

Kenney leaned on Matt to help him stay after he was nommed. I guess this was a so so plan in the beginning. After all, Matt has Kenney convinced he has ALL the people on his side. The problem is, I haven’t seen Kenney doing a lot to help himself. Where this plan turned really stupid is when it became obvious Matt may also go on the block. He seems like a nice guy but he hasn’t really done anything so honestly, I’d be okay if he’s the one who leaves.

This is from the episode last night and it looks like they could be a family:

Angela seems crazy but I like her and don’t want her to leave too soon. Matt is kinda cocky but I don’t have anything against him. He talks and doesn’t listen which doesn’t make a good game player, but he’s got a touch of manipulation skills. That’s worth keeping around to watch. I’m not picking a side in the Matt/Angela thing because I want them both around them for a while longer.

Chelsie at Lisa’s pancake breakfast bar:

Chelsie and Cedric have done a good job staying out of the fray since they have no agency at all this week. They could have been really easy to pick off. Cam is a bit reserved but very likable and people are including him in things. T’kor is way too quiet but she’s getting better and people like her.

T’kor and Cedric at breakfast too:

Kimo, the forgotten nominee, is very likable too. He should be fine this week unless something happens with this AI Arena and he ends up a casualty. Rubina and Tucker have been bonding and Brooklyn may be doing just enough to get by for a bit. At least she’s been included in this new alliance of Quinns.

Rubina:

I hope I didn’t leave anyone out but I probably did. So far, I really like this cast. I even like the ones who aren’t playing very much at the moment. (Everyone can’t play hard the first week) Most of them just seem really likable. Even the ones who have already become a bit annoying have some upside to them as well.

As for the veto ceremony, I have no idea who the replacement will be. (I almost forgot. Angela also briefly tried to convince Lisa not to use the veto on herself. Haha) Maybe Matt, maybe T’kor, maybe Angela will ask if she can nominate herself. Who knows? We’ll find out soon enough though.

Have a great Monday.
