Big Brother 26-Mels Wednesday Recap 7/24/24

Good morning, the past couple of days have been mostly quiet in the Big Brother house. For this cast, quiet means only a handful of arguements, a player maybe wanting to be voted out, glitter-gate and so much more.

After my Monday recap, Lisa took herself off the block and Matt went up as the replacement. T’kor almost went up as a pawn due to Angela making up entire scenarios in her head. Matt had suggested Angela put up either T’kor or Tucker as a pawn. Angela told Matt to see if she’d be ok with it. He never even talked to T’kor about it but Angela thought he had. Luckily for T’kor, Matt told Tucker he’d volunteered him to go up and Tucker was pissed.

You’d never know it because Tucker just smiled and told Matt he’d be happy to go up. He said he was looking forward to competing. After that, Tucker told Angela that Matt had to go. He gave her another pep talk and assured her they’d have the votes. Tucker has continued to trash talk Matt to everyone while also bro-ing it up with him. (He’s a menace, haha)

As for Angela, she still thinks the people working with her are just lying to her. Even with her stairway meltdown, she could’ve left her hoh week with a solid alliance and getting out 1 of her 2 targets. (Either Kenney or Matt) Now, everyone except Tucker is almost afraid to make eye contact with her. (Quinn has to be shitting bricks since he told her about his power) They’re all still saying the right things to assure her but they may ditch her as soon as they get the chance.

It’s also recently been discovered that Angela was on a Dr. Phil episode. She was also on The Price is Right and Deal or No Deal. (She took home 20k on that one) I don’t know if it’s been mentioned on here but Brooklyn was also on a Dr. Phil episode and Tucker has/had a YouTube channel doing reviews on different marijuana strains.

After the veto ceremony, Lisa had a long talk with Matt and I mean looooong! He thought he could just toss out that people have been talking about her, thinks she has a power and that she went otb as a pawn on purpose. He said people were saying she was in on a plan with Angela. He also told her it was selfish (sort of) for not picking him to play in the veto comp. She pointed out that he never asked her to pick him. He got more than he thought he would with Lisa. Matt’s used to do all the talking in any conversation but so is Lisa so he’d met his match.

Lisa drilled him and she wanted names. He repeatedly said he couldn’t remember who told him and she ended up telling him to keep her name out of his mouth.

Lisa when she heard her name across the yard:

This convo took place in the backyard and at the same time that Brooklyn, Leah, Chelsie, and maybe somebody else were having a convo over by the hammock. They were making jokes about Lisa not being a chef and saying maybe she was a doctor. Lisa overheard it and went over to basically tell them to keep her name out of their mouths too. They tried telling her they were joking, but she wasn’t having it.

The one thing Matt was able to convince Lisa of was that he had the votes to stay. The rest of it was just them talking AT each other for 2 hours. This caused Lisa to tell Kimo he’d have her vote to stay over Kenney but maybe not against Matt. She said she’d have to vote with the house.

Matt’s been telling people they should vote to keep him because it’s what everyone is doing. He had a fairly long convo with T’kor and told her the same. This was after T’kor told him Kimo was her closest person in the house. He did almost all the talking with T’kor saying “mmhmm” about 100 times. After that convo, Matt told MJ, even T’kor was voting to keep him. (We all need this man’s confidence) The votes are just Matt’s backup plan because he doesn’t intend to be sitting on the block during the votes. We know this because Matt also told people how bad he feels bad for Kenney and Kemo. He said he knows they feel like they have no hope, now that they have to compete against him. I think he also mentioned the idea of simply having Kenney and Kemo throw the AI comp to him too.

Other than telling everyone he already has the votes, he also held a storage room meet up with his Barber Shop alliance. I think its Matt, MJ, Leah Cam, Chelsie, Cedric and Brooklyn. Everyone has started calling the alliance BS for short. It’s totally fitting because this alliance is complete bullshit for just about everyone in it.

During the meeting, Matt told them to hook up with an accountability partner. That way, they would have someone to go to if they got paranoid. (It reminded me of Hisom telling everyone to get a buddy last season)

As for Cam, Cedric and Chelsie, they seem to be the strongest grouping in the house so far. The house hasn’t turned in to 2 sides yet like is usually does the first week. (Angela kind of prevented that from happening) Anyway, these three are in the mix of most things going on in the house. They also don’t appear to be bat shit crazy so that’s helping them too.

Chelsie also talks to the cameras but she’s waaay too loud. Hopefully she gets that straightened out and doesn’t get caught like Cliff did on BB21:

Angela tried to give Kenney a pep talk that backfired and it turned into an argument. This is when he announced he didn’t want to try to stay over Matt. His way of campaigning on Monday was to make the rounds telling everyone to vote him out if they wanted. He said he was feeling guilt over missing his daughter’s birthday. (750k would buy a nice day gift but whatever)

Maybe he changed his mind because by yesterday, he was giving himself a bit of a pep talk about winning the AI Arena comp. I have to admit. I did like it when Kenney told Angela the last person he wanted to talk to about it was her, because she’s the one who put him in that position. (It’s true) Angela ended up saying it was obvious. She made the right decision because he didn’t want it as bad as she did. (Also true) I’m not spending any more time on this because who knows and who cares at this point what Kenney wants?

Quinn happened to be in the kitchen when Angela and Kenney got into it. Later, he told people he was avoiding the kitchen at all costs from now on!

Quinn and Leah:

I don’t think I mentioned T’kor was talking to Matt because Kemo finally told her that he’d suggested her as a pawn. She wanted to ask him about it but it’s Matt. He just talked over her, never answered her question and said the best move for her game was to vote to keep him. (Sorry I added this here. I just had a grocery order delivered that I’d forgotten was coming. By the time I put everything away, Id lost where I was at in the recap)

T’kor had a rough night trying to sleep because apparently Joseph was making a lot of noise:

Tucker continues to complain about Lisa to anyone who will listen. I know there have been comparisons to Turner vs Jasmine and others but it’s giving me Steve & Becky vibes from BB17 at this point. Maybe not entirely because I don’t think Becky ever really did anything to Steve. Lisa has actually done and said things to rub people the wrong way.

Tucker telling Quinn about Lisa telling Brooklyn, she shouldn’t eat butter. Tucker said “what does she know she drinks glitter.” Yesterday, he suggested they sprinkle a trail of glitter to the front door and said maybe she’d just find her way out. (Haha)

Here’s another one. It isn’t the best quality because it’s actually a screenshot off of a short video clip. I didn’t see this happen so I don’t have all the context. From things I read on Twitter, I do think he had her permission to do it tho:

Lisa needs to be careful because it isn’t just Tucker anymore. When have nots ended and the guys were finally able to eat, Lisa walked over and started sprinkling her edible glitter on their food. She kept doing it while they were telling her no thanks.

There had already been multiple discussions about people getting sick of the glitter. On top of that, some of the women (especially Chelsie) didn’t like the way Lisa came over to the hammock and confronted them. (It was when they were joking about people lying about their jobs)

Brooklyn retelling the Lisa confrontation:

Remember, a few days ago (feels like a month) when Lisa won the veto and Angela decided to make Lisa her new best friend? She mostly wanted to work with Lisa because she said she was 95% sure Lisa has an upgrade power. Well, she’s been spreading it around the house too. (She wasn’t Matt’ source for saying it. MJ is the one who first said it to Matt. MJ has the one from her move in group and guesses Lisa had the other one)

I thought maybe Angela had forgotten that Quinn told her he had it. Come to find out, she DOES remember Quinn has it. She’s even asked him if he’s told anyone else. He’s told Kemo but he only told Angela that he told Kemo they were safe or something like that. I guess it’s just cover for if Angela finds out Quinn told him. Maybe he thinks he can act like Kemo guessed. (I won’t even get started on what a bone headed move it was for Quinn to tell anyone)

Brooklyn and Rubina:

Quinn also told Kemo his plan to use it. He wants to win HOH and use it to take over his own HOH week. I understand running through all the possible scenarios but you should do that in your head, not out loud to another person. I also hope he realizes this is a stupid idea, once he’s done running through all the scenarios. I kinda get it because he’s got tunnel vision at the moment. He’s not thinking about the best way to use the power. He’s thinking about the best way to hide the fact that he has it. I’m sure that is coming from his paranoia about Angela knowing.

Back to Angela and her hair brained thoughts… I can understand other people not being certain who has it but angela KNOWS Quinn has it. She also knows Quinn and Lisa were in the same move in group. If he has it, it isn’t possible for Lisa to have it!

Anyway, Angela’s plan to make Lisa her new BFF is over. After Lisa’s talk with Matt on Monday, she wanted to end the rumors that she’s working with Angela. Yesterday, she told Angela she needed to separate herself from her. She took it a step further though and told Angela she couldn’t associate with her inside or outside the game/house. She said something about how her integrity wouldn’t allow her to be around Angela. (People really acting like Angela went in on Matt’s mom) I can’t imagine getting that worked up as a mom if I heard someone say to my son ‘your mom’s going to find out you’re a brat.’ Sure, it’s not a compliment but that’s pretty tame in my opinion.

Again, I think Lisa’s doing this mostly because she thinks she has to work with Matt. He has her convinced he has the entire house on his side. Of course, I’m only guessing. She may really want to work with Matt and I don’t blame her for not trusting Angela. After all, she did put her on the block.

You can imagine how well Angela took this news. Let’s just say, I don’t think it’s gonna be hard for Tucker to convince Angela, that Lisa needs to go soon. Angela has taken to calling Lisa Tinkerbell and told her to go spread her fairy dust somewhere else or something like that.

As for some other tidbits: Joseph’s still laying low since he got on Matt’s bad side. (Personally, I think he’s laying too low and he’s falling behind)

Leah is a social butterfly and gets along with everyone. So far, her close connection with Matt and MJ hasn’t hurt her. Neither has the fact that she talks nonstop! Leah is one that I’m very torn on because I really like her. At the same time, I can’t stand listening to her talk for very long. She say “like” every 3rd word.

Brooklyn is laying low but still trying to be in the mix during convos.

Leah made vegan sushi for everyone:

Quinn is spending more time with Leah but hangs out with everyone else enough too. He’s close to her and Kemo but everyone else likes him too.

Rubina is social, likes to hang out with Tucker but she may be another one falling behind.

T’kor is a self proclaimed introvert but she’s finally talking more to people. (I’m still annoyed by Matt calling her a nobody) She’s the closest with Kemo but she’s hanging out more with some of the women. I think her biggest problem is that she’s still just making social conversation. She isn’t really talking game with people.

MJ and Matt pulled another all nighter. Most of the night was spent with them talking about a potential shomance. MJ confuses me because during part of the conversation, it seemed like she was trying to slow Matt down. On the other hand, she’s glued to his side. If she wanted the conversation to end, why not just go to bed? I’m paraphrasing here, but Matt spent most of the night explaining to her how lucky she’d be to have him.

Apparently, the rivalry I sensed with MJ towards Leah that first night may be real. She told Brooklyn something about how she was more like Leah but since Leah was here, she couldn’t be herself. (Hell if I know what that means)

Cedric:

I’m assuming these people are going to talk more and solidify a plan for tomorrow night. Matt and Angela have people convinced that Matt has the whole house on his side. I’ve been thinking how funny it would be if people voted to keep him simply because they wanted to vote with the house, not realizing that people actually don’t want to keep him. (That’s assuming he doesn’t win the AI comp)

Cam:

For now, it seems like most of the house wants Matt to go. I think a lot of fans want Kenney to go. Based on the way Big Brother usually works, it probably means Kemo will somehow be the one to go.
