Big Brother 26-Mels Friday Recap 9/27/24

Good morning BB Junkies, After a double eviction, we’re at the final 5 with only a couple of weeks to go! I said in the Wednesday recap, this may be 2 weeks of seeing how Chelsie gets herself to the end. Sure, there’s a chance something could prevent it but it’s not likely. Before I start, I hope all of you in the path of the hurricane are staying safe. We know who some of you are, so please check in when you have time, just to let us know you’re okay.
HOH Spoiler Below

Heading into the double last night, both Leah and Angela campaigned to stay in the house. They both professed their loyalty to Chelsie, Cam and MJ since that was the only path to the Final 6.

Leah may have meant it but Angela didn’t. (Good for her) Leah wanted a F3 with Angela and MJ so she didn’t fully mean it either.

After Chelsie and MJ convinced Leah she was on the block because of Kimo and Rubina, Leah was back to being BFF’s with MJ and to MJ’s credit, she fought hard to save her. (It’s only about .0001% of credit since she’s the one who put Leah on the block in the first place)

MJ’s hoh week summed up in a picture:

I’d love to know what kind of conversations will be happening in the jury house this week. Do Leah and Angela actually believe Rubina and Kimo are the masterminds of the week? (Haha) I guess I shouldn’t completely laugh at Rubina since she actually did have a hand in getting Leah put up as the renom. I also don’t think Angela believes Kimo is to blame but she may blame Rubina. It’s who Leah told Angela she should target if she was the one who stayed.
Leah during one of their talent shows: (It’s kinda making me want to be Cindy Lou Who for Halloween)

Rubina’s story about how Leah told her that Leah and Matt were more compatible than MJ and Matt had a lot to do with why she was otb. (This is the season of emotions and feelings so I shouldn’t be surprised) I still say this is one of the worst hoh’s ever, not this season, I mean ever. I can’t say it’s THE worst without going back and thinking on it, but it’s probably in the top 5.

Chelsie continued to talk to Leah and pretend she might keep her but she was never considering it and neither was Cam. Chelsie said there wasn’t time to build trust again. Cam said Leah didn’t make him a priority since she didn’t campaign or even talk to him until Wednesday.

I’m curious to see what Chelsie said in her goodbye messages. It could be a mistake if she doesn’t take credit for getting Leah out in her message. If she does, Leah will be mad but it’s better than the jury thinking Kimo did it. I’m assuming Quinn will be the one to get jurors to see the game moves over the anger and ‘feelings.’ (We’ll see, this cast plays on emotion, feelings and vibes)

This is a screenshot of when MJ looked into the camera and said “I’ve got this whole house wrapped around my finger.” (Funny, since she’s doing Chelsie’s bidding)

Leah and Angela had a pillow fight their last night together.

It was mixed with some tears…

and hugs.

If they knew how soon they’d see each other again, it didn’t need to be this dramatic.

From Leah’s reaction, I don’t think anyone told her she was leaving before the live show.

I still say not wearing that plastic crown out of the house was a missed opportunity.

If you look at the front pocket of her duffel bag she brought Barbie Brielle with her to jury tho:

Leah was evicted 4-0, the first unanimous vote of the season. She’s off to jury to see Quinn and sounded excited about that part at least.

I hated to see her go but I’m also realistic. Leah did kind of toss MJ to the side after Matt left. She talked trash about her to Chelsie which was info Chelsie could use later. She screwed up her hoh and she KNEW the move to make. She and Angela talked about it the week prior when Leah said, “the only way to get Chelsie out is if she’s sitting beside T’kor.”

To make it worse, neither of them caught the obvious flaw in their plan when Leah. If you remember, when Leah decided to target T’kor over Chelsie, Angela told her she’d take out Chelsie next. Well, if sitting beside T’kor is the ONLY way Chelsie gets evicted, how can that happen the following week if T’kor’s already gone?

On top of that, Leah never should’ve talked to Rubina this week about how she still wanted to target Chelsie. Sure, MJ should’ve wanted her to do it but thats another issue. Why would she trust Rubina with info? They’ve never been friends and she’d just put Rubina, Kimo and T’kor all on the block. I’m just saying, Leah wasn’t robbed. She had a lot to do with why she was a evicted.

Ill say this tho, for someone who never had an alliance, didn’t play the game for the first month, blew her hoh AND had a love/hate thing going with her BFF, final 6 isn’t too bad. I enjoyed her in the house so peace out to Leah.

The 2nd half of the double almost ended alot differently since Angela came close to winning the hoh. Chelsie forgot a zero and Angela was on the right track at least. It’s live tv and nerves can get the best of you. Sure, we can math in the moment, sitting on the couch but try it under pressure. I think a lot of people would blank out. Angela’s answer was alot closer, she just went over.

Chelsie won the double hoh.

She put up Angela and Kimo with Angela being the target. Chelsie and Cam had agreed if Kimo or Rubina won it, they’d try to get MJ otb and vote her out. It was going to be Angela if one of them won it.

I don’t think it would’ve been hard to get Kimo or Rubina to target MJ since Kimo told us that’s what he’d do during his DR on the Wednesday episode. (They’re not always telling the truth in those DR’S so who knows?)

Kimo won his first veto. He won the AIA comp in week 1 but this was his first win since then so congrats Kimo!

Needing a renom, Chelsie, put Rubina up next to Angela.

Not that it matters who was beside her because Angela was evicted. You could tell by the look on her face, she knew she’d finally ran out of runway.
I thought this was hilarious! A comment like that could make Kimo a target because of jury votes but he’s already the target so it doesn’t matter. (Sorry, I forgot to crop the image)

We got to hear Cam shout out ‘all the dawgs at the crib’ twice in one night.

For the record, MJ did NOT “sadly” vote to evict Angela, no matter what she said to Julie.

After 2 HOH’s, 1 veto and having 3 vetoes used on her this season, her time was up. Originally, many of them wanted her out because she annoyed them. By the time she left, they evicted her because she was an actual threat in the game. As the oldest person on the cast, she gets to leave knowing that and it probably feels good.

Angela walking out and greeting the crowd was probably the best part of the episode for me.

Well, that and her brief interview with Julie were great. I was bummed Leah and Angela left on the same night but Angela’s enthusiasm for the show and the game made it an easier episode to watch.

Say what you want about Angela and her crying and paranoia. She played hard, she won comps and she wasn’t afraid to make big moves. (Isn’t that what we say we want?) Yes, her moves were often badly timed. Her paranoia was often for nothing but not always. You can’t say she didn’t give it everything she had because she did. (Secret: It’s okay to admit that and still not like her)

If you spend the majority of the weeks in the house being nominated, (7 times) I think you’ve earned the right to be a little paranoid anyway.

I’m going to miss Angela and all her craziness. I don’t care what show they put her on, I’d watch it. Sign her up for The Amazing Race, Traitors, whatever. I’ll be there with my popcorn.

So the paranoid princess and the Jankie Queen head to the jury house and we move on to the next week. (T’kor will have a looong week with Angela since Leah will probably be hanging out with Quinn, haha) Dang it, I forgot to crop again!! I promise before next season, I’ll figure out why I can’t do it like I could before. I think it has something to do with me doing a lot of this on my phone instead of a laptop but who knows?

When the feeds came back, MJ had won the hoh, the “tiny hoh” to be more specific. Cam came in 2nd but that didn’t stop MJ from complaining to Chelsie that Cam needed to pull his weight.

This is something Chelsie says so naturally, MJ parrots it now. With only five people in the house, it won’t be very complicated. (Basically, it will be hard for MJ to screw up this hoh, right?)

The plan is (you guessed it) to put Kimo and Rubina on the block and Kimo is the target. There was talk about whether Chelsie or Cam would go up as the replacement if they needed one.

Kimo played with MJ’s extensions last night. Cam said he looked like he worked at Game Stop. Haha

Chelsie and MJ briefly considered putting Cam up with Kimo to further push the women’s F3 thing to Rubina. I think they landed on just telling Rubina she’s going up so the guys won’t know there’s a women’s thing. (Sure, whatever, there isn’t a womens thing)

This could be a long week since it’s 2 straight weeks of MJ in the hoh room. She may already be getting on Chelsie’s nerves by bragging about her comp wins. (It’s definitely getting on mine) We’ll have to hear how amazing she is at the game all week and I also expect a lot of Leah and Angela bashing from everyone.
Here’s one last MJ and Leah moment before the bashing begins:

Along with that, we’ll probably get a new musical from Kimo and Rubina. Between working on lyrics and choreography, I doubt there will be time to talk to MJ about Chelsie being a threat. I’m not saying it would work, but I don’t see them even trying to keep themselves from being nominated. Last night, Rubina was already asking “how are we going to entertain ourselves this week?” (Umm, I don’t know, maybe play Big Brother??)

Honestly, if Kimo in Rubina somehow managed to find themselves in the F2, (they won’t) I don’t even think they’d give finale night speeches. I think they’d just get up and perform some kind of song and dance together. They’d hug, bow & hold hands and ask the jury to make their choice. (It would almost be perfect for this crazy season)

Maybe Rubina’s secretly playing them all. She had Cam and MJ helping her rehearse her F2 speech, I mean dance, and they didn’t even know it: (Suckers!)

I don’t see Cam switching up and taking Chelsie out this week but I do think he would’ve taken MJ out if she hadn”t won. I even think he may have targeted her himself if he’d won it. It was better for Chelsie’s game for Angela to go last night but Cam knew it was better for his game if MJ left. I also think it may have happened if it hadn’t been a double eviction. With more days to talk, I think Cam may have convinced Chelsie. He’d already got her to agree to take MJ out over Angela if someone other than them won the hoh in the double.

Since Cam came in 2nd last night, lets say Cam’s the hoh. He puts up Kimo & Rubina, the veto is used and MJ goes up as a “pawn.” Rubina and Chelsie split the vote and Cam breaks the tie by taking out MJ. He could’ve done it and told Chelsie, she wouldn’t take any blame. That may have convinced her.

Anyway, it didn’t happen so it doesn’t matter. Besides, didn’t Julie say the veto will be BB Comics? I’ll be surprised if MJ doesn’t win it.

MJ and Chelsie had an hoh bath together. (Great way to hide you’re a F2)

It’s a F2 in MJ’s mind but Chelsie plans to take Cam to the end. (I think)

It’s too soon to worry about a renom but MJ decided she’d put Cam up instead of Chelsie. She said she just explain to him that it was better for her game.

Quotes and Random Tidbits:
Angela’s husband Chuck made a funny video showing the chores he’d gotten done while Angela’s been gone. He was showing us the light had been installed and his clipboard. I think he called it her live feed chore list or something like that. Haha

MJ (about Leah): “I’m not trying to sound conceited, but I know I’d beat her in a final two.”

MJ (about her veto win): “I won that veto and by alot, just sayin’. We’re gonna get this bitch out.”
Cam (to Chelsie): “Just because you’re loud doesn’t mean you’re right.”

Leah (to MJ): “Imagine if you shotgunned a beer right before the veto meeting.”

MJ (my personal favorite due to the irony): “Angela needs to go because she isn’t playing her own game.”

Sorry for the image mistakes on this one. I think I started adding them before I’d had enough coffee. The nomination ceremony will be later today and I hope all my dawgs at the crib have a great weekend!
