Big Brother 26-Mels Monday Recap 9/30/24

Good morning, it was a quiet weekend with little gaming but at final 5, that’s fairly normal. People usually try but unless you lost your #1 in the double, there isn’t much shifting to be done. Most players already have a plan in mind at this point. It’s 3 vs 2 and it is what it is.
Friday
MJ”s nominations were straightforward and the eviction will be too. On Friday, at least Rubina tried to keep herself off the block. It didn’t work but she tried. Before MJ nominated Kimo and Rubina, Rubina told MJ about Chelsie trying to get her to target MJ if she won hoh. (during the double eviction) MJ seemed surprised but quickly said she wasn’t surprised people would be talking about her because of her comp wins. She put her sunglasses on, gave Rubina the equivalent of a ‘thanks for stopping by’ and the conversation was over.

I’m not saying this would’ve worked because it wouldn’t but Rubina’s approach was terrible. It’s always like this when she talks game. I think she’s a really nice person and she’s uncomfortable talking shit on people. She always hesitates, rambles and it takes her forever to get to a point. When she gets even more uncomfortable, she starts in with the baby talk. I don’t see how you convince anyone of anything with that approach.

MJ also talked to Kimo and he said the usual and generic stuff. He said he had her back and said the only thing he had to offer her was being a pawn. Here’s the thing, he’s in the situation because he didn’t put in work a long time ago. It really wouldn’t matter what he said at this point.

It’s final 5, what can he and Rubina offer MJ? She can’t play the next hoh and wants to either avoid the block or be saved with the veto. To her, people who haven’t won comps can’t help her next week. It’s almost as if their game plan at the end was going to be “we can’t win, so obviously anyone will take us to F3.” It’s rarely that simple and even less so in a season like this one. This is a year about loyalty, feelings and friendships. Everyone knows Kimo has jury votes already, even if he just sleeps from now until finale. (Having said that, MJ should absolutely try to take out Chelsie or Cam this week. She can’t though because she’d have needed both of them on the block together…too late)

MJ talked about wanting the 3 women to make it to the end to Rubina and told her Kimo was her target. She also told her she wasn’t against taking her off the block if she won the veto to show her she meant it. (If she’d meant it, 2 men would be on the block, just sayin’)

Almost immediately, MJ told Chelsie what Rubina said to her. Chelsie denied it (obviously) and said Rubina was twisting the conversation about the double. (She wasn’t) MJ believed her and said she knew Rubina was lying. MJ said she may use the veto if she won it to take Rubina off the block. She said they’d still get rid of Kimo but thought it would help her with Rubina for next week. (She was already saying this Thursday night after she won the hoh) This is one more example of why MJ is bad at the game. Why would Chelsie be okay with you trying to “help yourself with Rubina” at the final 4? Why would you tell someone that?

Friday evening, Kimo and Rubina hung out downstairs and made a couple of realizations. Kimo said the 3 of them may be in an alliance since MJ wasn’t going after Chelsie or Cam. (Didn’t he call them a trio to Leah recently? He should already knows this!) They both agreed they feel disposable in the game. Rubina said she hoped MJ could see how close Chelsie and Cam were and that they’d take each other to F2. (MJ’s choice to keep the stronger competitors wasn’t making sense to them)
Side Note:
If Kimo and Rubina spent more time with other people, they would’ve learned that MJ thinks she can beat everyone. (She’s not exactly quiet about it) They should’ve been planting seeds for a while that Chelsie wins against everyone. That’s the only way to get thru to MJ. (Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it would’ve worked. It’s just the best move they had)

Kimo said he hoped everyone could see he’d been playing the game. He talked about wishing to come back for Reindeer Games or for a coaches season. (No, I’m not making this up) I think Komo is your typical ‘tv only’ fan. On the episodes, you see them talk strategy for about 5 minutes an episode. Listening to this conversation, I actually think Kimo DOES think he’s played the game. He just does it like he’s seen on tv. (clock in, talk game for an 30 minutes a week, then goof off until it’s time for a comp)

Rubina gave Kimo a hair cut and they talked about their peraonal lives for a long time. They also talked about trying to figure out what to do this week. They were hoping they could get MJ to target Chelsie and work with Cam. (Rubina tried that already and still went otb so what are they missing?) They discussed telling MJ about Cam and Chelsie hinting at a F4 with them last week. The biggest problem for them is, the things they could’ve done, needed to be done at least 2 weeks ago. It’s too late unless you’re Dan Gheesling. (They’re not)

Meanwhile, MJ, Chelsie and Cam talked about relationships and dating up in the hoh room. Cam talked about someone he’d hung out with before the show. This was mostly a conversation between Chelsie and Cam With MJ awkwardly just sitting there. (After this conversation, I’m convinced all the stuff about Chelsie and Cam “after the show” is all in Chelsie’s head. I don’t believe they ever had the talks Chelsie claimed they did about liking each other)

There was more hohitis from MJ too. She said “we’re the only reason the other two are still here” and “no one is beating us in comps.” We had to hear about MJ being the new Tucker and how many comps she’s won. It just goes on and on and on… (You get the idea)
Saturday
They had power issues on Saturday so they got a delivery of Crispy Kreme’s and Starbucks. The feeds were down for a long time for the BB Comics veto. I think most of us assumed this would be MJ’s comp and it was because she won it. Cam came in last and that was most of the discussion Saturday evening.

Cam timed out and MJ and Chelsie were MAD about it. For some stupid reason, Cam told everyone he stopped and “took breaks” during the comp. (Why would you admit that?) MJ and Chelsie headed to the hoh room to complain about it. The hoh tv was off and MJ asked production to turn it on. They wanted be able to see if anyone was heading upstairs.

MJ gets the biggest attitude with production and has all season. A while back, when they asked MJ and Leah to turn off the bathroom water, (they were brushing their teeth and just letting it run) MJ clapped back something snippy. She went on to complain about it for the rest of the day. Anyway, I only mention this because Saturday, she began to demand production turn on her tv. I know she’s only 22 but damn, she’s a brat.

MJ and Chelsie began to wonder if Cam’s been throwing comps. (For the record, I dont think he’s throwing but its funny the only time he won was the only time he was otb) They said it was perfect for him because he didn’t have any blood on his hands. They said he’d done nothing, they’d carried him and they were the ones making targets of themselves. (There’s no reason MJ needed to win the veto this week so that’s on her. She’s already said it was fine if Kimo or Rubina left this week)
This is the guy they think is throwing comps:

Side Note:
MJ’s ego won’t allow her to downplay herself in the game the way Chelsie will. If I were MJ, I’d downplay the AIA comps for a start and I never would’ve started calling myself the new Tucker or a comp threat.

Chelsie and MJ also began to wonder if Cam was even planning on going to the f3 with them or if he’d turn on them at F4. MJ started in again about wanting to use the veto. She wanted to take Rubina off the block and put up Cam. (Not as a target but as punishment, I guess) MJ said she’d just tell Cam it was better for her game with Rubina to do it. Chelsie chimed in with her like she usually does but I assumed she was lying at the time.

They all talked about the comics as far as which ones were the best and who got screwed. (They’ve usually been posted by now but I haven’t seen them yet. If I run across them, I’ll include them in the Wednesday recap) As usual, production didn’t stretch themselves in the imagination department.

MJ was some kind of sexy robot. (She thinks it’s because Tucker was referred to as a robot and ya know, she’s the new Tucker) Leah’s was a chubby chaser but MJ said “they gave her big boobs.”

Kenny was a sausage, Lisa got glitter, Matt was crazy eyes and Chelsie’s was about her microchip costume in week 1. I thought I heard them say something about Chelsie’s having some kind of controller but I could be wrong. (I didn’t know if this alluded to Chelsie controlling MJ’s game, haha)

Kimo loved his and though he looked “muscular and hot,” Cam’s had something to do with being boring and Joseph’s referenced Dr. Will. Cedric was “young Cedric” and Rubina got one about rollerskating (that’s her thing outside the house) and seemed glad it wasn’t about Tucker. (Me too)

Later, Rubina told Kimo no one talked about hers or commented on it. I don’t know if I touched on it much this season but Rubina has some major insecurities. Along with wondering if Tucker still likes her EVERY DAY, she talks alot about not “feeling heard” and names all the people who make her feel this way. She’s talked about being talked over and interrupted since the first week in the house. (They all talk over each other all the time. They don’t only do it to Rubina but I get it. It’s annoying)

Kimo and Rubina went on to talk about their lives and personal things for a long time. Kimo talked about his dad passing and Rubina talked about her mom. (Rubina’s mom was on life support for 9 years without her or her sister having a say in it. Her aunt took over and left them out of the decision making even tho they were adults) She’s talked about it before but I hadn’t covered it. The entire situation sounded awful and just felt too personal for me to talk about in depth.

I also haven’t covered Kimo talking about his family being homeless for several years when he was young or him moving back home after his dad passed. These two have been through alot in their lives and I hope it only continues to improve for the both of them after the show. They both seem like wonderful people. Neither of them can play Big Brother worth a shit but anyone would be lucky to have them as their friend.
Rubina did a good job on Kimo’s hair too. He looks younger with it shorter:

Chelsie warned Cam about MJ being mad. She told him she was wanting to use the veto and put him up. He wasn’t too worried and said it would be a stupid move on MJ’s part. (He’s kinda right, she should take out Chelsie!)

Kimo and Rubina said they’d talk to MJ on Sunday and try to get the target put on Chelsie. Rubina also told Kimo about MJ and Chelsie being upset with Cam and thinking he’s throwing comps. (Why continue to try for Chelsie when it didn’t work? Why not try for Cam since they know MJ’s upset with him?) I’m not saying either one would work but common sense tells you which one to try.

Kimo was surprised MJ didn’t bite on getting Chelsie out. He said “maybe the three of them are in an alliance.” He also said he didn’t expect MJ to want to stick with people who were trying hard to win the game. (This goes back to why I think Kimo thought people would want to take him to the end since he isn’t “a threat”)

Kimo tried to have a game talk with Cam. Neither one of them said very much and it was pretty awkward. This shows you why you have to talk game with people throughout the season, not just at the end. Cam’s wanted Kimo out for a while but even if he didn’t, Kimo didn’t say anything to sway him. Saying to someone, “how do we get to the end of this game” isn’t a real game conversation and that’s about all Kimo said.

Late into the night, Chelsie was being really loud downstairs while hanging out with Kimo. MJ yelled from the bedroom for them to be quiet. First, she yelled Chelsie’s name from the bed.

It didn’t work so eventually she got up. MJ was so pissed but it was kind of funny, even tho it was inconsiderate on Chelsie’s part. Chelsie had so much control over MJ’s game, she doesn’t even have to worry about pissing her off before the veto meeting.

Sunday
Yesterday was another slow day. The entire day went by without Kimo or Rubina talking to MJ until really late. (Even MJ was waiting for it) Most of the day was chit chat mixed with some more Cam bashing.

Cam hung out in the hoh room with MJ. He was doing a bit of damage control since he’d been warned by Chelsie about MJ wanting to use the veto. They debated again (for the 100th time) if Kimo or Rubina should go. MJ often talks just to talk. They landed on Kimo again but Cam said it didn’t matter to him which one left.

MJ tried to pick his brain about next week. (She’s getting nervous going into the F4 and can’t play for hoh) She reminded Cam he could be the deciding vote between Chelsie and herself if Rubina won the next hoh. MJ also brought up that she’d thought about taking Rubina off the block. When talking to Cam, she lied and said she’d have put up Chelsie as the replacement. (If MJ was more mature, she might be a decent player. She lies very easily and I mean that as a compliment)
Sorry, put the wrong Pic here:

Both MJ and Chelsie were relentless about Cam not winning comps. MJ especially, went in on him. She kept bring up “even Kimo beat you.” They both kept saying “you have to win” and “you’re not pulling your weight.” It went on forever! Finally, Cam told them he was trying and said it was embarrassing that he kept losing. He told them continuing to tell him about it wasn’t going to help him win. He reminded MJ that Kimo beat her in the veto comp too.

Chelsie and MJ did some shit talking about Leah and her crush on Tucker. They made fun of her for it and brought up Cam chasing Leah around. (To Cam) Chelsie said why would Tucker think Leah was into him when she was with Cam all the time? (Probably because Chelsie encouraged it and told Leah Tucker liked her to get Leah away from Cam. Haha)

MJ seems to have forgotten how delusional she was over thinking she was close with Tucker too.
They brought up the audience cheers during double eviction and MJ said Leah got loud applause. Chelsie made sure to say “Angela’s was louder.” (For people who question why alot of people don’t care for MJ or Chelsie, it’s stuff like this) MJ hates Angela and wanted Leah’s to be louder. Chelsie wanted the opposite because she doesn’t like Leah. MJ also brought up AGAIN that both people she put on the block went home during the double. (Yes MJ, we’re aware that the only 2 people who had your back, you took out)

Kimo and Rubina hung out and chilled. I’ll give this to Kimo and Rubina, they’re chill in stressful situations. These two may never have blood pressure issues!

Rubina finally went to talk with MJ. MJ said they were taking out Kimo but she wanted a F3 with her and Chelsie. (Rubina had to know this isn’t true since she knows she’s telling the truth about Chelsie wanting MJ out in the double. Why would they be in a f3 together?) I also think it’s dumb to say this when next week mostly comes down to comps. What if MJ wins the veto and she’s the single vote to take out Rubina next week?

Chelsie joined the convo probably to make sure MJ is still playing HER game.

Chelsie talked to MJ alone about leaving noms the same and taking out Kimo. (This was always gonna happen. Chelsie does a good job agreeing with MJ and then switching her over to what Chelsie wants. I’m sure it contributes to MJ thinking she’s played her own game)

Today will probably be the first time all season the veto doesn’t get used. (Thats crazy!) I’m sure it’s killing MJ because when she’s got a power, she thinks she HAS to use it. There will also probably be some flipping back and forth over who to take out this week. They get bored and are running out of things to talk about. Kimo vs Rubina gives them that something.

I’d imagine it won’t amount to anything and Kimo will still leave this week. Even if it switches, does it matter? They’re basically interchangeable as players. The only thing that will matter (as far as one of the 3 leaving) is who wins the hoh at final 4.

I guess there’s also a slim chance that Chelsie or Cam might change their mind about wanting MJ in the F3 with them. It will come down to comps now anyway.

I was surprised to hear Chelsie in the DR (last nights episode) saying she wanted to take MJ to the F2. I don’t know if she meant it or not but just like who leaves this week, it probably doesn’t matter either. I think Chelsie beats both MJ and Cam.
I have no idea what’s going on here:

Have a great Monday!
