Big Brother 26-Mels Wednesday Recap 10/2/24
Hello BB Junkies, There’s less than 2 weeks left so we’ve almost made it! BB really should end it September in my opinion. I don’t want to be thinking about Halloween decorations when it’s still BB season. It just feels weird.
Like Steve’s said in his last couple of updates, there’s isn’t much to recap for Monday and Tuesday. I’m not complaining since the season’s almost over. Until they start speeding up the end of the game, it’s always going to be this way. Besides, this cast has delivered the mess week after week all season. They’ve given us alot!
Monday was the first time all game the veto wasn’t used. It’s been used on other people while the veto holder remained on the block. It’s been used when the hoh put their own allies on the block as the replacement nom. Like I said, this cast delivered us the mess!
It’s also typical of this season for it to not be used in a week when it should’ve been used by MJ. If there’s one thing we can depend on, it’s MJ making the worst decisions she can make whenever she has any power. Her best move would’ve been to take Cam out of the game.
She came close to using it two times this week and both times would’ve been for the wrong reasons. First, she wanted to put Cam on the block but “just to scare him.” She thought about pulling Rubina down to score brownie points with her, put Cam up as punishment for not winning comps but still send Kimo to jury. That would’ve been a pretty dumb move.
After thinking about it more, MJ thought about putting Cam up and actually targeting him. Chelsie went along with it but we have no idea if she was sincere. She may have been just playing MJ the way she has been for weeks. She initially agrees with MJ’s crazy ideas, only to reel her back in later to what Chelsie wants to do.
Chelsie really has been annoyed with Cam over not winning comps but I doubt she ever wanted him out. It’s also the reason MJ considered taking him out this week and that’s why I said both times was for the wrong reasons.
She should’ve targeted Cam to get rid of him as an option for Chelsie. If she really wants to be in the F2 with Chelsie, (which is also dumb) get rid of the person she might take over you. She’d also have prevented Cam winning the last hoh and taking Chelsie. Nope, her reason was because he isn’t winning comps and that’s just silly.
After noms stayed the same, Kimo appeared defeated and even told Rubina he felt like giving up. Keep in mind, this was after he made the odd choice of not talking to MJ before the veto meeting. If he only knew how close MJ had been to putting Cam on the block, maybe he’d have tried harder. If he’d have tried, maybe he would’ve learned that information but we’ll never know and neither will he.
Kimo and Rubina finally realized Chelsie, Cam and MJ must be in an alliance together. (Wow, impressive observation skills!) It doesn’t matter now and unless something changes, Kimo will be out on Thursday.
They spent the rest of Monday laying around and chit chatting. Kimo asked to talk to MJ at some point which annoyed her. She told Chelsie “he didn’t want to talk to me before and I don’t really want to talk to him now.” (It didn’t matter, it’s Kimo and he never gets around to doing the actual talking)
They also made dinner which was painful to watch. Kimo’s rice boiled over and MJ made broccoli way too early. I’m sure it was cold by the time the rest of the meal was finished.
Chelsie, Cam and MJ discussed (and demonstrated) how they let someone know they’re interested in them. Chelsie has a ‘no eye contact’ method and MJ’s was the opposite.
Chelsie finally had a bit of conversation with Cam that related to dating, even if it wasn’t actual flirting. It was amusing watching MJ keep interrupting when Cam would ask Chelsie anything. (Hey, it’s like the cuddling. If Chelsie won’t, MJ will)
Chelsie also paced the yard and studied her days. I can say this for her, she’s almost always playing the game.
If it’s possible, Tuesday may have been slower than Monday. Cam talked to Kimo about wanting him to stay this week but said he’d have to talk to the other two about it. (I don’t believe him) Besides that, MJ told Chelsie she’d understand if Chelsie cut her and didn’t take her to the F2. (I didn’t believe her either. Her power’s over and she’s wanting reassurance, at least that was my take) That was about it for the game talk.
There was more joking around and singing, lots and lots of singing. Kimo made a song about Rubina and Tucker in a long distance relationship but the camera cut off before I heard if if was any good.
I did laugh during one moment when Kimo was singing. Rubina was pretending to be Kimo and lip syncing as he sang. They’re so bored, they’re even lip syncing now. I doubt Rubina thinks she’s winning the game so she’s basically riding it out until she can see Tucker again.
Cam started hanging out with Rubina a few weeks ago and they both seem to enjoy it. It makes me wonder about next week after Kimo is gone. Depending on who wins the hoh and veto, I wonder if any paranoia will start. Cam already acts like he enjoys Kimo and Rubina’s company more than Chelsie and MJ’s. If they spend time together next week without Kimo there, I wonder if MJ or Chelsie will take issue with it. They shouldn’t with only 4 people being in the house but that doesn’t mean they won’t.
Rubina’s already hinted to MJ that she’d take her to a F2 but I don’t know if she meant it. She may have only said it because MJ’s the hoh and had the veto. Unless she pulls a Paris from BB Canada 6, I don’t see Rubina making that decision anyway.
Here’s a couple of things that sums up Rubina’s game for me. First, she said before the double, she didn’t want to win it. She said it was because you didn’t get the room and stuff. This week, she said she didn’t tey very hard to win it because she wouldn’t want to make the decision. The second example was when she was talking to MJ about having 3 women at the end. She said the men (Cam and Kimo) “should want to support the cause.” I know she’s a recruit but still, that’s ridiculous! (What about the cause to win 750k?)
MJ spent what felt like 3 days making a cake and everyone seemed to enjoy it. (I wouldn’t have touched it since she kept licking her fingers and then using them to smooth out the icing afterwards. Yuck!)
There was some chat about the finale and the after party. Chelsie told everyone (except Cam) She was going to make out with Cam at the after party. This got cheers from everyone and later, Cam wanted to know what they’d been talking about. No one told him but MJ gave some hints. I think she’s wanting to play matchmaker and it could end up being funny to watch. She isn’t subtle enough so it could turn into a mess. Haha Chelsie only told him “you’ll find out in 11 days.”
I think the sooner they part ways, the better. I could see Cam being into it because he’s been shut up for almost 90 days. After his ‘dawgs at the crib’ tell him about some of Chelsie’s antics, I don’t see them being a couple. Would you after learning she’d been showing live feeders your dirty underwear all season? I’m only saying, if it isn’t going to stick, Chelsie’s better off with it not happening at all. I only say that because Chelsie’s looking for a husband, not a hook up.
Some Random Tidbits:
They finally put out Angela and Leah’s goodbye messages. The one from Rubina to Angela was hilarious. She referenced Angela always saying she wants to be there. Rubina told her “everyone wants to be there.” (I can’t see Angela voting for Rubina in a F2)

Just a reminder, there isn’t an episode tonight but there will be a 2 hour one tomorrow. We’ll get to see everyones comics and that’s usually a good time. Will still also have a bit of excitement. Left in the game. Depending on who wins the HOH and Veto at the F4 could make a big difference in how the game ends.
We may see Cam finally win his 2nd comp and try to take out MJ. It’s not impossible that Chelsie, who’s played miles ahead of everyone else, could leave just before the F3. We may find out if Chelsie really wants Cam or MJ at the end. We could also just see MJ comp out and make another bad decision with more power. Anyway, there’s at least a bit more game to see unfold.
